My research work is focused on expanding causal inference methods for continuous treatments, mediation, and for allowing causal effects and mediation to vary over time. These methods are very important for analyzing intensive longitudinal data (including wearable devices) and the design of just-in-time adaptive interventions and other mobile health (mHealth) applications. My particular areas of application for these methods are obesity prevention, smoking cessation, and substance abuse prevention and treatment.
